SAYM 2017 Golf Event

South Akron Youth Mentorship requests the honor of your presence at our Seventh Annual Golf Event to be held on Monday June 26th at Silver Lake Country Club.

The SAYM vision “to break generational poverty, one heart at a time” cannot succeed without friends and supporters such as you.

Attendance at our mentoring programs continues to grow, and the grant that funded the purchase of our fourth 15 passenger van has been a needed blessing to accommodate this growth.  Academic Incentive for Mentees (AIM) has paid out almost $10,000 to high school students and significantly improved academic performance, a key component for the future success of our youth. Our Youth Employment Program (YEP) initiative allows our students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at facilities and churches with whom we are affiliated.  YEP allows our students to gain work experience and work history, and 12-15 hours of classroom training on topics such as conflict resolution, personal finance, work ethic, and interview skills. YEP graduates are able to successfully secure part time employment in the private sector.

Please support the SAYM  mission “to transform worldview perspective from societal dependence to personal independence through application of Biblical principles, importance of education, necessity of excellence in vocational efforts, and life skills mentoring.”

The range opens and registration begins at 10am, lunch at 11am,  and shotgun start is at noon. Dinner begins at 4:30 pm in the ballroom with $10,000 of raffle and silent auction prizes to be won. Cash bar available  all day.

Please like us on Facebook  and visit our website at www.saymentor.org and read some of our posted blogs about the impact God is doing with these children ages 5 through19 who live in our focused mission field along the Arlington Road corridor.

Please contact Donald C. Breece if you have prizes which you would like to donate in some other way.
